Let's Talk...I Speak!!

Change is good.  Sometimes when you think it's the end, it's really a new beginning in disguise.

Hear author Joan Wendland's inspiring story. Let's Fall in Love 'til Wednesday, her first book, was published after a job layoff—on April Fool's Day! At fiftysomething, the author self-published. Armed with a Masters Degree in Life Experience and a modest 401K to live on, she wrote.

Within six and one half months it was in Chicagoland Barnes and Noble stores, was featured in the Chicago Tribune, AND it was optioned by a Golden Globe nominated producer to be made into a movie. Filming was to have begun in the Spring of 2009.  However, the economy tanked and so did this project at this time.  Stay tuned!

The book has been reissued September 2011 and also received an Editor's Choice award.

Proving there is life after corporate she published her second book after her third job layoff: Alice in Corporateland:A Curiouser and Curiourser Bizness.  It received an Editor's Choice Award.

Joan spent 25 years as Alice in corporateland and now lives in South Haven, Michigan. She conducts creative writing workshops and does story performance on slices from her life called Living Outloud.
